Falvo said it was important for H.J. Brandeles to find somewhere at least close to Utica since many of their vendors are in the city. He said the company sought a suitable location that would be available before mid-to-late 2019, which is when project groundbreaking is expected to occur.
“It’s kind of just the first spot we could find that would accomodate our needs with our timeframe that was closest to the vicinity of Utica as possible,” he said. “We were unable to find a property in Utica that could meet our timeframe that we needed to make the move by. ... It got to a point where we waited as long as we could wait.”
