J. F. Pease Furnace Company

On June 30, 1898 JF Pease Furnace Company merged with other manufactuers and together became The International Heater Company (IHC).

IHC was engaged in the manufacturing, marketing, and sales of heating equipment for homes. Their principal place of business in a remodeled hotel at 418 Lafayette Street.


In 1879 "John F. Pease" was at 93 South Salina Street, Syracuse, producing furnaces. By 1884, this developed into J. F. Pease Furnace Company, manufacturers of the "celebrated Economy Furnace," located at the junction of Willow Street and the Oswego Canal. Pease specialized in "Economy steam and Hot Air Combination Furnace and Economy Hot Air Furnace." D. M. Kennedy was president of the firm, J. F. Pease was vice-president and E. Kirby West was secretary and treasurer.[22] In 1894, the company were operating at 100 to 106 East Willow Street. [Ref.]
