If not for the Erie Canal one could say Utica's great insitutions and buildings such as the Stanley, Union Station, Gold Dome Bank, and the Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute would not exists.
As downtown begins to reach a new critical mass with the AUD's expansion, the coming Nexus Center, a new hospital and nanotechnology taking root, today is an ideal time to embrace Utica's past. The only remaining home near The Wynn Hospital at 442 Lafayette Street can play a part.

We're not opposing The Wynn Hospital, just don't bulldoze more of Downtown Utica's Historic Columbia-Lafayette Neighborhood..., help inact the Wynn-BUD Initiative.
